THCFarmer — SoggyBottom quoting Mean Gene, September 7, 2015, post 32Historical secondary account: SoggyBottom says he asked Mean Gene about Oil Can and reproduces his explanation. It identifies Charlie Brown’s Afghani × Oaxacan line, imported to Woodman Canyon in the early 1980s, and Oilcan as selections within it. The same account distinguishes later NL4-backcrossed Oilcan/POG stock, so no immediate NL4 mating is assigned to the legacy name. Afghani/Oaxacan describe unnamed historical donor stock and remain unlinked. This is an attributed historical claim, not independently verified breeder publication.
